Accommodation & facilities
Only one hour’s drive from Geneva this traditional French Savoyard farmhouse (c 1746) is full of character and authenticity and has been sensitively renovated to create a stylish and beautiful mountain chalet. We have five ensuite bedrooms and a 82m² open plan lounge, dining room and bar area that combines original timber beams, double height ceilings and huge picture windows to stunning effect. Large balconies off the living areas are home to a seven person hot-tub and stunning views. Outside you’ll find the garden, orchard, terraces and heated outdoor swimming pool.
The open plan lounge and dining area has a large meeting table (seats 14) and break-out areas with sofas and coffee tables. Upstairs in the mezzanine area is another break-out area. There is wifi throughout and hard wired connections on each floor.
We are only nine minutes to Samoëns historical town centre and twenty minutes to Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval national park. Situated on a sunny plateau this is a peaceful location with stunning 360° mountain views.
Food & wine
We’d be delighted to work with you on the menu for your stay – whether you need a venue for the day or for the evening as well. We work with three different and talented freelance professional chefs that will delight you with their creativity and in addition to delicious breakfasts, lunches and three or four course evening meals we can also organise a BBQ and gourmet picnics if you choose. Any dietary requirements can be catered for.
House wine is complimentary with your evening meal and we have a selection of excellent French and Italian wines for you to choose from – four red, three white, two rosé and a prosecco.
There is also a special Discovery wine list of unusual beverages including less well known grape varieties and hidden corners of France’s extensive wine regions. Of course, our Fine wine list includes wines from the best European domains plus champagne, dessert wine, port, brandy and liqueur – including the regional speciality Génépi, made from a strain of yellow wildflowers of the artemisia variety. (Our Discovery and Fine wine lists are for purchase).
